It is technically a foundation, a non profit organization website, which will allow people to make donations for the cause. Is purchasing an SSL certificate for this site a good idea? If i have to purchase then which one is better for such a site?
hi...it depends on what payment methods your site uses..
if your using something like paypal to take the payments then you will not need a ssl as paypals gateway takes care of all the security issues that could possibly arise..however if payments are being taken via your website only then it is reccomended that you have a ssl!!
some places offer ssl for very cheap, i think godaddy does cheap ones..and theres a company called comodo that offer a free ssl for the first year with no catch!!
