IIS - SSL Problem with Win 2K and IE 6.0

Hi there,
Any of u have any idea why a web site SSL enabled doesnot work on a win 2k system with IE 6.0 installed....The web server is a WIN 2K system with IIS 5.0 installed. While the normal webs work, the SSL enabled ones dont work.
It gives a HTTP - 500 error...
