converting Mp3 to Wav format

Is there a good freeware Mp3 to wav converter. It is for my roomate who is not to good with computers so it should be easy. Acoustica 2.03 is good but they want $50! As far as I can tell their program only converts mp3 to wav and vice versa. The absolute most I would pay for something like that is $15. Would it be difficult to write a program like this in C++ or Visual C++? My email@ is below. Thanks,

You could try lame:

and use razor lame:

Lame is the encoder/decoder, razor lame makes it easier to work with (GUI)

Tha latest Winamp-versions have a 'write to disk'-plugin. Check it out, it works fast & fine.

I suggest you go to http://www.webattack.com, they have some audio converters, it's freeware too. I suggest getting Simple MP3 maker. It converts WAV to MP3 , MP3 to WAV, CD to MP3, and so on...
