Parameters

Can anybody help me out?

who knows how to use parameters on an HTML file?

I now how it works on a PHP file or on an ASP file, but when I create a link like this:[blue] document.location.href="users.html?GB="+document.LoginForm.username.value;[/blue] it doesn't work.

First up, what you are trying to do is Javascript. You will need code on the page you are loading (users.html) to handle the parameters you are passing.

Hope that helps. Post up more details if you want more help.

  •
Intranet

    Gebruikersnaam:
    Wachtwoord:
this is the file I am sending the parameter with.
Now I want to use that parameter in the file gebruikers/"+document.LoginForm.Gebruikersnaam.value+
    "_"+document.LoginForm.Wachtwoord.value+".html

    Does anyone know how to...?

If I just use the following code it won't work:
Login Script
I even tried placing a span label but with no effect...

  • still no reply... Hmm.. Mabe it's not clear what I mean...?

the main idea is that I have variable and that I want to use that variable in the document I'm calling:
document.location.href="MyFile.html?MyVar="+MyVar;
[red]Now, how do I use MyVar in MyFile.html ?[/red]

  • I found a solution to my problem.
I've Created a script with a function that extracts the parameter from the document.location.href

if anyone else is interrested in this file you can download it at my site (it's free)
