Well, D6 comes with Indy components :-), Code completion is a lot better, some neet new Windows shell stuff in the Samples section. Some new components here and there, but not much differnce besides that (except that when I compiled a project with Delphi 6, it was 50kb larger than the executable Delphi 5 produced)

Oh, and Delphi 6 Forms come with this cool AlphaBlend property, which can make your forms (semi)transparent.

Oh, and also, Delphi 6 offers some cross-platform stuff with Kylix, but I haven't really checked it out since I'm not really into that Linux stuff ;-)
  • at least not afraid to ask!!!!!!!!
btw, i did post this cuz i have
    problems installing older components
on my D6 so thats why i was asking
    for convinient ideas, suggestions,
    and/or comments!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I like D5 and D6 there all good!
  • Mostly all of the components can be recompiled in delphi 6.
So I will suggest you Delphi 6.
But there are some components, that doesn't work in Delphi6, but it depends also on the version. You will have much more problems in Delphi Enterprise, then in Delphi Personal.
    I think I didn't help you much! :-)
So the final help is: now the Delphi 5 is better, but in the future ...

like Borland Delphi and soon i'll
