Project Data Writing to MPP, XML & Image Formats with Enhanced Project Recalculation using .NET

Aspose team is pleased to announce the new release of Aspose.Tasks for .NET 17.5.0. This month’s release is kind of maintenance release where Aspose team has fixed several bugs related to various functional areas of the API. This month’s release is sort of maintenance release where Aspose team has fixed several bugs related to API functionality. These include Scenarios where loading or saving sample MPP files raised to various exceptions, Improvement in project recalculation resulting in more accurate output results, Improved project data saving to XML format where the project calendars resulted in erroneous calendar entries, Issues with Timephased data writing to output MPP file which resulted in repeated entries in output XML file and some wrong work values in certain cases, Problems with actual start, percent complete and actual duration while saving project data to MPP using the API, Fixing of Out of memory errors while exporting project data to image, Issues related to preserving formulas while saving project data as MPP and Differences in Tasks duration for MSP 2010 and 2016 file formats. This release includes plenty of new features as listed below

• Tasks with custom timephased data has Percent Complete > 100% and MSP in XML format cannot be imported.
• Formulas get corrupted after file save
• Loading a MPP file using Aspose.Tasks throw exception An item with the same key has already been added
• Recalculation of project sets percent complete to zero on milestone tasks
• Saving Project raises TaskWritingException
• Erroneous calendar entry added in XML while converting MSP 2016 MPP
• Out of Memory error while saving MPP to PNG
• Task duration shown wrong in MSP 2016 as compared to MSP 2010 (.NET)
• Saving MPP file hangs and never returns
• Timephased data entries are repeated for AssignmentActualWork in the XML file (.NET)
• Timephased data not copied while saving project as MPP
• Wrong Actual Start, % Complete and Actual duration calculated while saving MPP
• The value of actual start of parent node set to NA while loading and saving the project (.NET)
• TimephasedData written to MPP File shows wrong Work Values for the Last two days

  • Aspose team is pleased to announce the new release of Aspose.Tasks for .NET 18.7. This release further enhances the Project data conversion to HTML by providing capability to save html elements to separate files. It also fixes several issues reported with the API that further enhances the adds to the overall stability of the API. This release of Aspose.Tasks for .NET API lets users export the fonts, images and CSS styles to separate files while exporting project data to HTML. It also provides the options to assign callback functions to the export process for assignment of necessary parameters. These modifications have been added to the HtmlSaveOptions class of the API and can be utilized as shown in the code sample on the blog announcement page. From this release onward, the obsolete members of ExtendedAttributeDefinition and OutlineValue have been removed. This is important to note as users will have to replace any such occurrences of Obsolete members with the new methods and techniques that have been available as replacement for long time now. This release includes plenty of new features as listed below

    • Add an option for saving fonts/images/css styles separately when saving as html
    • Remove obsolete members in ExtendedAttributeDefinition and OutlineValue
    • Add support for OnlyTableValuesAllowed field in new Extended Attributes API
    • Differences in XML output after resave
    • Incorrect timephased data for tasks with splits
    • Incorrect finish dates for tasks with splits
    • Timephased data displayed incorrectly after a resave
    • Fix duplicated "OutlineCode" elements in project's xml

  • Aspose team is pleased to announce the new release of Aspose.Tasks for .NET 18.9. This release gives users the power to read activity codes for XER files. It also fixes several issues reported with the API that further enhance the stability of the API. There are some important enhancements and bug fixes part of this release, such as Scheduling of recurring daily tasks has been fixed, Time-phased data for material resources has been fixed, Issues with formula calculation have been fixed, After exporting to MPX, the number of task links generated was wrong. This issue has also been addressed, Exceptions while loading MPP files have been handled and Custom fields’ values are now formatted properly when saved as PDF. This release includes plenty of new features as listed below

    • Implement reading of activity codes for XER files
    • Incorrect scheduling of recurring daily tasks
    • Wrong time-phased data for material resources
    • Fix issues with formula calculation
    • Wrong number of task links after export to MPX
    • Loading MPP file raises an Exception
    • Custom fields' values are not formatted properly when saving a project to Pdf
