Gui Torbo Assembler

Hello everyone , I am the new user here and I'd like to receive from you some advice for configuring Gui Turbo. At the university when we have to work with Assembly language we use Gui Turbo or sometimes Notepad++ for ".com" files. So at the university Gui Turbo works very good but I've installed on my notebook also this software and it doesn't work properly , sometimes when I open, it again runs the installation process, so how to avoid this or how to configure it better? or please give me the another better version of this software.
