How to make user create and use his account?

Ok I'm a noob at this and I'm just in my first semester of programming, I need to make the user create an account with a username and password, and then go to another screen where he is asked his username and password, I don't know how to make it so that it checks if the user and pass are correct. I know how to switch screens and clean them with clrscr.
