I'm Interested in joining a programming project, D&D type/MUD

I don't know where to start looking but I would like to join a programming environment. I have experience with C, I'm not the best programmer but I can do data input work or just basic programming. Again I want to be a part of a programming environment. I don't demand a role in the game, I just want to be a part of a project with other people. Definitely has to be a rpg/mmorpg style game/project, I have no problem with small projects.
