I am teaching myself programming and got several books on Visual C#. I am trying to do a small project where I turn on or turn off buttons on a form. By turning off or on, I will color them a certain color whether I want them "off" or "on". I'm having difficulty trying to figure out which button property is best to check to see if I should "color" it or not. Can you build an array of buttons? And then how do I access the text property in the button to make decisions on?
Is there a way to create and array of buttons or do you just have to place them, one by one, on the form?
And maybe it's not buttons I want. I want to search the text contained within each area of a form, and then turn that area a color based on an algorithm that will determine the number contained within the area. I just thought that using buttons was one way. The program won't require the user to click on the buttons though - therefore maybe I use something other than buttons. Maybe a textbox - but it would be possibly an array of them.
