error message m_missing_operator

Hi everyone,

I'm studying economics and I need to work with MatLab for my thesis. I just installed Matlab on my computer, but I always get this message when I start it:

Warning: Executing startup failed in matlabrc.
This indicates a potentially serious problem in your MATLAB setup,
which should be resolved as soon as possible. Error detected was:
MATLAB:m_missing_operator
Error: File: C:Program FilesMATLAB71workstartup.m Line: 3 Column: 20
Unexpected MATLAB expression.
> In matlabrc at 224

I'm not familiar with Matlab so I have no clue what this message is about. I went to the directory C:Program FilesMATLAB71workstartup.m , but there is no file that is called startup.m in the work folder.
Anyone who knows how to solve this?

Thanks in advance!
