UK based Senior Engineers wanted

We are looking for Senior Engineers to join our team and work on a great new title for current generation consoles.Ruffian Games is a brand new development team based in Scotland's glorious City of Dundee. Despite being less than a year old we've an aeon of experience and proven skill running through our team.

We've worked on many big titles in the past that we're sure you've heard of including Microsoft's Crackdown, Fable 2 and Project Gotham Racing. We hope you've enjoyed them as much as we did.

All we can say about our current project is it's signed with one of the world's biggest and most successful publishers and on a great project we're really excited about.

Successful candidates will ideally be self starters with a can-do attitude. We like both people with a broad range of abilities, and also those that have specific skills in key areas.

Work within an experienced team reporting to the Code Lead
Design and implement key software features
Help to direct the work of Junior Engineers
You should be able to demonstrate your expertise in a significant portion of the criteria below.

Worked within a small to medium size team
3+ years professional programming experience
Been part of a project that shipped
Worked on a current generation console title
Has designed and implemented a significant software system
Worked on and added features to an existing code base
Involved in planning and scheduling their own and others work
Knowledge / Skills
Flexible enough to work on a range of game systems
Quick at acclimatising to an existing code base
Can design and implement core systems
Able to estimate time to complete a task for themselves and others
Experience in any of the following areas beneficial
Game-play programming
Direct X
Realtime Networking
Physics (Havok ideally)
UI / Frontend
Build management
