Remote desktop

Hi all,
I just wanted to know that is it possible to remote desktop to a windows 2000 service pack 4 machine from a Windows XP machine, I know one can do the vice-cersa as the remote desktop client can be installed on the windows 2000 machine but I want to do the opposite, please let me know if the opposite is possible too.

    Not with remote desktop, but it is possible with one of the alternatives: PCAnywhere, Dameware.

    But would these be as fast, I tried VNC but its too slow.
