A note on credit card related posts on this board

Hi,

Of late there's been a number of posts where people specified false ways to obtain stolen credit card data. To do this you had to supply your own card data. They are pretty obvious scams, basically aimed at getting you to send off your own card data and become the victim of card theft.

Unfortunately, some people a greedy and like the idea of buying stuff with stolen cards and actually have tried these things. So not only was it an interesting example of social engineering, but a successful one too. Now, I don't condone the activities of the people who have been posting these scams, but I struggle to have any sympathy for those who went along with them. I've now deleted all but one of them (which is retinaed just for anyone interested in seeing such a thing), which I have locked too. Any further posts of this nature will just be deleted. It was amusing the first time (until people started falling for it, anyway), but enough is enough.
