communticating with serial port in C

Can anyone provide me with a small code in C which listens to the serial port and sends characters at a baud rate of 9600.
I am using BORLAND C++ 5.0.2 on win 2000 so if possible please send the code that can compile on it.
Thank you in advance

How is this related to embedded systems ? Most embedded systems do not use Windows 2000 os.

ige > If you want to communicate directly at hardware level, then you will can install some driver like"giveio.sys".
If you are using the c++ libraries which have come with the compiler, search in the documentation of BORLAND C++, and you must find APIs to communicate with serial port.

  • Search the C/C++ boards, there are loads of examples there.
