Retaining values in a drop down box in jsp- need imm reply

Hi all,

I have a prob in my work. i have a table in my jsp page which consists of text boxes and drop down box. The drop down box gets its value from the database, and when loading the page, it shows the value that is there in the database.

My problem here is i'm not able to retain the value in the drop down box. For example, i enter somethin wrong in the text box and select something in a drop down box and click on submit.So in case of the invalid text box value, it shows exception, but the value whatever i selected in drop down box is not retained.

If anyone knows how to solve it, kindly help me abt thisa asap...
