Hi all!
I have a problem... I have a course this year in university and all the programs we write must use direct memory access that is not part of the program process (we cannot use OS calls)... so we have to use win98 : because any decent operating system would produce a segmentation fault or an overflow (wich is not the case of win98).

What i would like to know is if there's any way i can do this with linux.

Somebody told me that the X server has sutch permissions... so i belieave it can be done :)

thank you
