Any free information on Blue Collar Trades?

Hello. I'll make my introduction short. I have a college degree in Computer Science but was unable to land a computer related job back in America. Currently, I'm teaching English in Korea as a way of making my ends meet. I eventually want to learn some job skills where I can actually get a job back home in America, or maybe do factory work in Asia.

Currently, there is so much information on the Internet teaching people how to program, do databases, administer Linux systems, and other computer related job skills. I don't have much money for going back to school or buying big books. Are there any free web sites that would allow me to teach myself a new skill like Carpentry, Auto Mechanics, Plumbing, or other Blue Collar Skills?
