I HAVE A FRIEND TRYING TO GET A PROGRAM TO WORK IN DOS. FOUND THIS BOARD AND I FIGURED YOU GUYS MAYBE ABLE TO HELP.
Anyone know anything about Dos?! I've been trying to write this stupid program called a batch flie to make my work a whole lot easier and I've hit a brick wall. This is an urgent plea for anyone who know anything about batch language. Here's the code:
for /f "tokens=1-2 delims=. " %%a in ('dir /b c:sdsidspr1new*.rm') do (
echo %%a.%%b > answer.dat
echo %%a.rm5 >> answer.dat
echo 500 >> answer.dat
echo 5 >> answer.dat
c:sdsidspr1newsample < answer.dat
What it should do is seek out any file in a directory with the suffix .rm, create an file that answers the prompts from a program called "sample" and plug the answer file into sample. Where it's been failing is at the final step: it won't load the answer into sample. One of you guys has got to be able to help me. Please!!
