A funny thing I thougth of...
XP can't be a PC becouse a
PC is (or was) defined as an
IBM computer with a special
processor (wich name I can't
recal in memmory) or 100%
compiltable.
XP can't run some programs
that the old computer's could
and becouse of that XP isn't
a PC.

Well, I also confess that XP is not a really stable and perfect operating system - but the reason why XP can't run old program is, that XP is especially for new generation programs. Old programs are for old systems - newer programs are for newer systems. This is a really bad thing, but the truth. If I would have a larger HD I would use Linux also on my system.
By the way in your place I would say "XP isn't a real OS" - because XP is an operating system - a part of a PC, not a PC. (In this way you are totally right - XP is really not a PC ;-))
