Hi, I am an experienced programmer in C++/Visual C++ and PHP, and other languages such as VB/VB.NET, JS, etc. Having already created one online game (A space-based, browser-based game) that had a good run before I decided to write a new version, or entirely new game, I am now looking for developers, graphics artists and modellers to work on a new project.
There will not be any pay in the development of the project, but participating parties will be paid from the revenue that is generated when the game is going. Please do NOT take this as a 'newbie' request asking for unpaid work - if I were to do this myself it would take a lot longer and I am looking to develop a team that will be able to work on many projects starting immediately.
If you are an experienced programmer or designer, and can contribute a decent amount of time, then I am looking for you. I have already developed an initial client/server system, and run my own server for web hosting and have available for the hosting of any games that we produce.
An example of areas that could be worked on include:
- Developing the Client/Server architecture
- Textures (for both 2D and 3D games)
- Models for 3D games
- Client applications (the actual program that is downloaded, if applicable)
- Web sites
- Web designs
- A web front-end for browser-based games
- Much more
If you are interested, baring in mind that it is an unpaid position and you will receive part of the profits the games will make, then please contact me shortly.
If you are confused about the jobs required being varied from Browser-based, 2D games and 3D games, it is due to the fact I have a number of projects to be worked on over the coming weeks and months, so please contact me if you are interested in working on any of the above, or even if there is something that is not on the list.
My e-mail for contact is sparky@mindvortex.com
I look forward to hopefully working with some of you shortly :-)
Mark

I would like to add a few things to the previous message:
Firstly, it doesn't matter what programming languages or skills (graphical, for instance) you have, because there are a number of jobs available for Visual Basic, Visual C++, C++, PHP and more.
Secondly, I would be more than happy to show you the previous game which I have created that has inspired the development of this new game, which will show that this is not a waste of your time and will materialize into a real game.
And lastly, I am available on MSN, ICQ, IRC and YIM should anyone want to discuss anything there to get an idea of if they want to work on the project. Please e-mail me and I will respond as soon as possible.
Kind regards,
Mark
