How to call a wmlscript function without a button press?


I want to set a variable in my wml deck using a function from my wmlscript or even just using Lang.random().

I want to it to set the variable without the user having to press a button (i.e., so it is set when the deck is loaded).

If anyone could give me the snippet of code I need, I'd much appreciate it!
