Solution to [Error] Never-build package requires always build package

Hi,

Here's what to do if this ever happens when you want to build a package and you get the error Never-build package :

1) View the package source
2) Modify the value {$IMPLICITBUILD OFF} to {$IMPLICITBUILD ON}

Done !

  • Unfortunately, your suggestion doesn't work for me.
    Whenever I get the "E2466 Never-build" message I set both packages mentioned to IMPLICITBUILD ON. This time, I had no success, so I set both to IMPLICITBUILD OFF. Still, the message pops up when trying to compile a project that depends on one.

    Is there any cache that the Delphi IDE or DCC32 uses? Which files may I have to delete so that Delphi re-reads the dpk files with the changed IMPLICITBUILD compiler switch?

    Thank you in advance.
