Job Description:Senior/Intermediate Software Engineer – Toolkit

Reporting to the Product Creation team leader, this individual will be a member of the Netpeople™ team, responsible for the specification, architecture and high-level analysis/design work for NetPeople™ Content Developer’s Toolkit.
Assist in the GUI design and specification of a rich agent creation toolkit.
Design, code and test software to ensure completeness, while adhering to our engineering standards.
Maintain & improve current initiatives, tools, processes, and methodologies.
Estimate project/task schedules.
Mentor other developers.
Evaluate technical design options based on scope of effort, costs, production efficiencies and ease of maintenance.
Bachelor Degree in Computer Science (or equivalent)
6+ years development experience, in areas of increasing responsibility
3+ years Windows and C++ programming experience
GUI development experience
Ability to work quickly and independently as well as within a team.
Excellent communication skills
Experience with full software development life-cycle.
Object-oriented programming experience.
Experience with a variety of content toolkits.
Experience in any of the following:
MS SQL Server, Perl, user interface design, InstallShield, internet product development, artifical life techniques, artificial intelligence technologies, Tcl/TK, MS Visual C++, MFC.
Experience in a start-up environment a plus
