Dial Up Connection Problem in Windows XP

Hello
I have encountered a strange problem in Windows XP home edition.
As soon as I connect to the internet using a dial up connection windows XP displays a message something like

"The file lsass.exe has terminated and your system will have to reboot"
The above message appears ina messagebox which also shows a countdown from 60 downwards and when it reaches 0 it restarts the system

This happens each time I connect to the internet.
I have tried changing the browser and using another browser other than Internet Explorer but it still shows the same problem

I would be really grateful if somebody would tell me a way to solve this problem

Thanks
Rohit
