Problem with list control

okay, i have a dialog made with the resource editor
im not using any MFC just pure win32

now everything works fine when there are no list controls on the dialog
but when i add one the CreateDialog function fails and doesnt create the dialog.

i take the list control back off, and it works fine.
never changed any of the code.

what in the world would cause such a problem?

i have had this problem once before involiving MFC and progress bars.

[red]Ok, i set the "No Fail Create" propertie on the dialog and now the dialog is made successfully but the list control doesnt show up[/red]

[blue]If your list is not standard list, but like list view with icons - you need to call InitCommonControls() when program begins and link the comctl32.lib with your exe file.[/blue]
