All numbers start with a character between 0 and 9. Thus a .25 needs to be written as 0.25.

• hi frnd....try to use bracket ie. total*(.25);

or

use total * (25/100);

easy,right??

bye..take care

That's also a possibility, but it introduces a calculation error. It becomes much harder for a number, which cannot be expressed as a fraction, such as: .25641225789456321132

In Pascal you have to write a number before "."
a := total * 0.25
