Can anybody tell me why cache memory is so fast.I mean what is the underlying technology.

cache memory is attached to the local bus of the processor there by reducing the access time, whereby, the main memory (eg:RAM) is external to the processor and requirs more time to access..

ok, if i stay with u reaching u is very easy for me and it take very little time for me, isnt it? but if i stay 2 block away from u reaching u is time consumming for me. so this is the same.
actualy in the cache we try to copy recent progmming data that user most recently thinking it may use by the user again. so rether then get the data from memory we get the data from cache.
