jsp is not compiling-Help!!!

hi, i am trying to compile a simple jsp, but it is not working.i have save the jsp in C:Tomcat 5.0webappsROOTWEB-INF and also in C:Tomcat 5.0webappsjsp_eg.whenever i start tomcat 5.0 ,it is asking for local host 8080 password.i dont understand why it is asking.can any1 help me and fast please

yapp....It sometimes does this if u have installen any kind of software which is using ur port 8080...so tomcat cannot listen to....You can get around this problem by...making tomcat servet listening to other port...
...go to c:Tomcat 5.0confserver.xml...edit it.....find where 8080 is...change it to some other port greater than 1024 such as 1097.....may be it then will work
