PLEASE HELP!!!?!

Im having problems with my DSL service. I currently have sprint DSL and it hasnt been working for 3 weeks. One day it just stopped working. My IP address reads: 169.254.253.230 and whenever i try to renew, i get a message saying it failed and to contact my ISP provider. My computer recognizes that i have a connection, but for some reason, i cant access the internet. When i check the internet properties, it says that im getting sent packets, but zero on the receive packets. I've tried replacing my ethernet card, that didnt work. I've reinstalled my drivers and updated...but it didnt work. I've even bypassed my ethernet card and used the USB connection as my modem supports that feature..it didnt work either. I've contacted sprint and they sent a technician to fix the problem..but he didnt know what was wrong...all he told me was that it was a hardware problem with my computer. I've tried using command prompt to ping certain addresses but that failed...i even obtained an I.P address from sprint that i entered manually into my computer..but that still didnt work. I doubt its hardware..but other than that i dont know what the problem is...the sprint technician doesnt even know. I think my phone line wires have gone bad...although my phone phone still works...i dont know what to do at this point..im having a sprint technician look at it again tomorrow and i dont think he'll find an answer. What else can i try?

Hey! Not good enough, pal! What did you do to solve the problem?

    :)

[ It helps everyone if, when you solve a problem yourself, you post the solution. Plus, I can't wait to find out what you did! ]

about to my knowledge ur computer is not shared with ur isp server.
check the server type links setting in ur computer dial-up.
and make the nic adapter configuration properly. If the problem not solved just re-install ur os without format previous and made the
connections again. If u r familiar with software installation go the safe mode and remove the nic components and dsl service and boot up to normal and set the settings again. if have problem again post a message to my mailbox. c u.
