I have an ADSL PCI modem. I had written a terminal program which implements a buffered, interrupt-driven, input channel for incoming data - similar to the ASYNCH.asm program from Tom Swan book.
But strangely , I am not receiving any data from the RxRegister. In other words, the 8250 chip is not generating any interrupt for the transmitted data.
Is it because I am using a windows dialer for connecting the modem ? - and not a DOS one .
Or, is the ADSL modem works differently from a dial-up one?
and, how do I program such a modem under DOS ?
