dear programer,

i have developed a theory to ultimatley solve the year 2000 problem, for software, hardware network, comunication, electronic devices... etc.

i am trying to demonstrate my idea through a program.

so if i can, for example, program the mother board's bios, so as to re-code the way it deals with the year format and making it read through my function ( my idea is to compress any number from 1 to 10000 in a two digit format only), then it will be great...

then how can i re-program the bios...

or else if i can use a dll file to store my function so as any program can use, then i need to monitor when the other program is doing any date operation (reading, writting, and calculating)...

i program using vb... so do you have a clue...

But seriously, your idea falls short in one major area:

IT ISN'T YOUR IDEA! Everybody knows that if you could

reprogram all of the BIOSes that would solve the problem,

but that's why it's SO HARD TO FIX!
