midi playout

hi;
i am working on a project about image recognition+midi playout...
in it, after getting the screen from the web cam, the program will run over it and play the right midi.and so continue...think it like an chief of a music group... and so; i have some source code for midi playing but dont have directx header files...can anyone say me where can i find them? also; if you have midi programs; i will be glad to use them in my project...
my work area is microsoft VC 6.0 + MFC

You need to download and install the DirectX SDK. It's freely available from Microsoft.
