Some Qs PLEASE HELP

Hi Ive been helping someone do a bit of a questionairre for a testing job and just need to get some descent answers to the last few questions. Any help much appreciated.
1) You have 200 megabytes free on hard disk. After installing 500 files of average length 1K bytes, you find that your hard disk now has 167 megabytes left. Why is this?
11) What is a CCZ file and how is it used?
20) Why is it important to have nothing running in the system tray when testing games?

Cheers

Sarah

    Answer to 1:
The key is in the average size, some are probably over 1k, and thus take 2k each, and the others are below 1k, each taking up 1k. This is an effect of the inode (at least that's what they're called in *nix) size. This is basically the size that each file is an integer multiple of.
  • Just throwing out the obvious guess here on question 20. If something's running in the systray that usually means it's active, and therefore might interfere with the software. For example: if you have a full screen game up when an instant message pops up, that could do any number of things to your current test, as well as subsequent tests unless you restart. You need a sterile environment :)
