Hi there,
Depending on your current knowledge of C/C++, you will have to start in different places. If you have limited knowledge, or you would like to "brush" up on your knowledge, you can find free tutorials on C/C++ all over the Net. Some of these places include:
The below links are from the MSDN Online. This is a valuable area to learn different aspects of Visual C++, if that is your "cup of tea". If you are not registered for this below link, please follow the step-by-step instructions to register for this free service offered by Microsoft.
After you are registered for this site, you are able to discover many, many, different tutorials everywhere on this site!
If you are persistent, as it seems that you are, as long as you "stick with it", you should have no problems at succeeding at becoming a great programmer!
I hope that this information helps! I wish you the best of luck in all of your programming ventures!
