    [blue]There is no equivalent function -- that is a Borland Turbo C-specific function and was never implemented by any other compiler that I am aware of. And in a GUI-based OS such a function is not possible. [/blue]

    The x window system in GUI is very different from your windows gui, since X windows is network capable while MS windows is tightly capped to the m/c,
    Try using one of the std library routines available in linux
    Qt is the most popular,
    Also these functions are called widgets,
    im definite you would find one

    if u are using C, then the following will work;

    printf("33[%d;%dH", row, col);

    where row and col starts from 0 as usual. Note that this works mainly on linux platforms.
