JSP Plugin for Eclipse

Hi,

does anyone know a good plugin for editing Jsp-Files in Eclipse? I tried Lomboz, but I'm not totally satisfied with it. Do you know something better?

  • No there isn't a plugin for JSP in Eclipse. Eclipse is meant to be and IDE to create Java projects and manage them.
There is another IDE that is build on the Eclipse platform and is developed to create Web projects.

It is called WSAD (Websphere Studio Apllication Developer), you can make anything in this IDE, from JSP files to XHTML files.

The only thing is you have to buy it (and it is quit expensive).

I think that the new Homesite is capable of handling JSP files. But till a certain point. It doesn't have a check like WSAD.

If your interested in WSAD, look for it on the IBM site.

That is not correct, as I mentioned before, I tried the Lomboz-Plugin for Eclipse and it is a JSP-Plugin.

I do not want to install another IDE, as we have Eclipse on multiple Computers we need to use.

But thanks anyway for your answer :).

Not ready yet, though. As has been mentioned, IBM WebSphere Studio Application Developer is based on Eclipse and provides J2EE dev stuff. Remember, you can associate files with external editors. Even to get code mark-up, you might want to try vim - http://www.vim.org
