IDEs

I am fairly new to Linux and was wondering what tools most people are using to develop applications. I would like a nice GUI IDE for Java, C++, or Ada. One that is capable of using different languages and builds X applications would be nice.

  • I'v been using xwpe. I'm also new to linux and I dont know any other editor but it is fairly good. It looks very much much like borland's Turbo C or Turbo Pascal IDE.

    I Personally use pico to program, since its fast, small etc etc

    but jed is a really cool IDE, it uses slang

    you should try it
