If you want to do more explicit stuff, the most important things are to learn 'pipes' and '>'.Ex:'cat file | more' sends all data from a file to the program more.'cat > file' Writes all you type to the file until you press ctrl-C.'prog > file' Sends all output from prog to a file.'prog >> file' Appends all output to a file.'prog 1> file' Sends only STDIN'prog 2> file' Only STDERR.'prog << EOF > filehelpinfoEOF' Runs prog, sends output to file, and sends all commands until EOF to the prog.
