C++ & Oracle_8i?? HOW???

I have been experimenting with the JDBC drivers and oracle with good levels of success, now cananyone tell me or point
me in the direction fo some tutorials on how to write programs in c++ that conect to, and modify/have acces to Oracle 8 or 9
based data bases???

Please help im stuck

    To access Oracle directly from your application , better use OCI (Oracle Call Interfaces), this gives better performance than JDBC or ODBC, also Oracle provides java class files which are based on OCI and not JDBC, you can get this info from the oracle site.

    You can receive the OCI documentations from the Oracle Site which contains examples. Overall, If you install Oracle Client, it will install the Header and libraries of the OCI to access any database server.
