creating activex ccontrols/dlls

Can anyone tell me how to create an activex control using vb.net? I would really appreciate any information that anyone could point me to. Microsoft continually points me to using visual c++ and the ATL/MFC templates. I would really like to continue using vb.

do u plan on using this active-x control in an active-x compliant program? If so I do not think u can directly create an active-x control with .NET.

However, I know you can use most Active-X controls in .NET. BUT .NET only puts a wrapper around COM, meaning that the CLR will not be used, meaning unmanaged code according to .NET.

Take a look at the System.Windows.Forms.AxHost class for more answers.
