Using "Alias" and Permission Problems

Hey All-

I'm a bit new to this but I'm editing my commonhttpd.conf file for use with aliases. I'm mapping

domainname.com/folder
to
/mnt/dir/dir

Whenever I go to domainname.com/folder now I get:

Forbidden
You don't have permission to access /http on this server.

I've tried setting the folder permission of /mnt/dir/dir to 777 and 757 but and still getting this error. Am I missing something? Anyone have any ideas? Thanks for your time.

  • Hi,

Any chance you can show us the alias statement as it appears in the conf file? :-)
