need some help please

Hi i need to write a program in VB for computing, it has to take in a sentence with no symbols numbers or small letters.
It ends when a full stop is entered and then shows a word count, the longest word, and the length of this word.
P.S the small letters numbers + symbols have to be auto deleted.
I need to do it for school. if anyone could help it would be appreciated
