playstation 2

: Hello,
:
: I was wandering if anyone knew anything about developing for either the playstation and / or playstation 2. I don't really want to use anything like YaBasic. I want to make programs / games in C++ and simply burn them to a CD / DVD and put them in the game console. Any libraries, file converters, tutorials, information or advice would be greatly appreciated.
:
: Thank you

Well, Im looking into this area as well. I just got a ps2 for christmas and Im working on an RPG game so I decided it would be cool if I could get it on the ps2. Anyway, I found this website. I haven't used the tools myself but I think that they will be pretty cool if they actually work. Anyway, the URL is: http://www.blade.ip3.com/index.htm

  • Could be worth looking at the linux kit for your ps2. This is a link to a forum that I used to go to alot. Very friendly people there.

It is prodominantly for yabasic but some of the guys (maybe heaps of the guys) got the linux kit so they talk about that there to. As far as i am aware it has all the same programming gear as linux for the pc/mac so you should get picture/sound editing software aswell as gcc i would imagine.

    Hi!
I would want to join the group to create a game for ps2. I just learnt C++ programming and want to challenge myself. I think it would be fun as well.
