I have at home:
- a computer with Linux
- apache already installed
- websites, with registered domain names,
I like to host (using apache)
- at&t broadband
My problem: I want to host my sites from home
- at&t blocks port 80
- and I KNOW there is a solution but WHAT IS IT?
Does anyone know anything about dynamic DNS?? and is
it applicable to my dilema?
Any insite is welcome...

- at&t blocks port 80
=> How is het possible that at&t is blocking port 80? How do you browse the Internet? Port 80 is the HTTP-port!

=> Depends if AT&T gaves you a fixed ip-address or not. If not you should use a program such as DynIP to do the trick. It will work as follows; you should subscribe at www.dynip.com, you let your domainname point to DNS-server of DynIP. Everytime, at&t assigns you another IP-address, your system registers the new address at DynIP servers. When somebody is requesting you Site, it points the visitor to the correct server.
- a computer with Linux
- apache already installed
>> Very Good Choice!
For me, Apache is the most powerfull Web-server on the Internet!
Offcourse, this is only possible when running Apache on Linux!
Anyway, hopes this was answering your question.

Sander
