I am wondering what is a good programming language/compiler for programming for windows95/98. I have some experience programmingin pascal and basica and know a little assembly. What would be a not too hard one for me to use. Thanks in advance.

Simple, get yourself a copy of MS VC++ 6/7, learn how to use it. It is NOT easy, but you have done some basic and pascal, so you should be ready for the real work (now or never).

80% of all games being developed at the moment are written in VC++. If you don't have that amount of ca$h, consider learning djgpp first.

And yes, I still use pascal :-)
