Hi,
I'm not sure where I am going with this but I am bored just being a PCUser.
I picked up a book titled A+Comptia Certified Computer Technician...and some parts.
In the first chapter I was sent to an appendix which began explaining Hexidecimal.
I figured out how to read it and somewhat change decimal to hex(base16)up to 255.(FF)
question is after FF where do I go?I then bought a book titled (by sams)Teach Yourself
C++.It too had some more info on Hex.Guess my question is how important is it to truely
learn hex?Is hex involved in programming as well as repair? If so,where is a good sorce
on hex located at?
Thanks,
confused
(ps)If I am on the wrong mesgboard please direct me to the right one)

hello there,i dont suppose your name is flint
i would tell you something to correlate between
our no. system (0-9)and comp.'s no system(0-f)
as 10d(d->decimal)means ten to you
10h(h->hex) means sixteen to us and to the comp
as well
just pick up any book on basic comp. sc.
or digital logic and it will help you
immensely
