Ambra Missing Operating System

A friend has an Ambra - I'm not sure of the model - likely an older one. She moved it, set it up, plugged it in and it wouldn't boot up. Error message read could not find boot drive - system set up showed that the hard drive was not installed? Choose the hard drive but now error msg reads missing operating system...any suggestions would be appreciated. BTW, she is running Win 3.1 and has no start-up disk. Thanks

I was a computer tech at a computer store once, and I ran across a simaler message. My boss had no idea what it was so we opened the CPU. The hard drive had come un-pluged while we were moving it. If that isn't the problem, you may have a bad hard drive.
