pass data with '?'

I've noticed many sites, including this one, that pass data to the site with a '?'. How does this work?

  • That is an indication of use of something called a
    querystring

In order for this to work, the method attribute of
the form tag must be "get".
You will need to know ASP or another server side scripting
language to make use of the data on the action page.

  • I have created a .js file that you can include in your html file. It offers a function GetParam(Parameter); You can acces the parameters you send with ? and & signs to your html file.

You can download it from my website http://www.mac-doggie.nl
