WinAPI: FindWindow and related functions
Note: this involves VB and the API not C/C++, but I know if there's an answer to be found, then stober, lundin, Guru, or similar will likely know of it; a basic C/C++ solution is fine... well as long as it isn't MFC. :)
Question: does the API provide any functions that I can use to force a popup dialog box to become active if my app isn't the owner?
FindWindow *works* well in finding the popup using the caption, but it's proven to be a game of chance whether or not I can make the popup active. The docs of related functions such as SetFocus *appear* to indicate that the owner is needed before they will work.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
